3 Weeks Old...Already!

Madison turned three weeks old today, oh how the time flies. Madison had her fingernails trimmed for the first time today...while she slept. Mommy was really nervous but everything went smoothly. It was nearly 70 degrees here today so Maddi got to wear her first sundress. She also spent about two minutes in her crib, which was also a first.

Madison's Room

Madison has a beach themed nursery. Daddy and Mommy worked lots of hours to get it painted just right. Grandpa Fisher had to bring a special drill bit with him from Oregon to hang the curtains. He had to drill through hurricane strapping, not something Mommy had originally thought about. While Grandpa was busy hanging the curtain rods Grandma was ironing all on the curtains. Maddi loves her room. She loves the colors and will look around the room endlessly, kicking and cooing.

Nana and Papa Small

Nana and Papa Small visit Madison every chance they get. They live 45 minutes away and make the drive quite often. Every time they see Maddi they notice how much she has changed, and they do change so much. We love our visits with Nana and Papa and hope to visit them at their house soon.

Grandpa and Grandma Fisher

Grandpa and Grandma Fisher came to South Carolina for the birth of Madison. Their trip was scheduled to be three weeks long and with any luck Madison was to be born during those three weeks. And she was. Madison's due date was February 4, Super Bowl Sunday! And for anyone keeping tabs this was Peyton Manning's first Super Bowl appearance. My water broke at 7:30 Monday morning and by Tuesday at 4pm we had our beautiful baby girl with us. I guess what I am trying to say is that Grandpa and Grandma Fisher were able to spend nearly two weeks with Maddi. Grandma and Grandpa Fisher were here for her first meal out, it was breakfast at Cracker Barrel. We had one more meal out, a dinner date on Valentine's Day and true to form Madison was a little lady in the restaurants. Cassius also loved Grandma and Grandpa Fisher's visit. He was so excited to see them when they arrived, he nearly wagged that big bushy tail right off. Cassius went on walks almost daily with Grandma and Grandpa, he loved it!

Saturday February 24th

What a funny baby Maddi is! Nana and Papa Small came today bearing gifts of diapers and "impossible to resist" outfits. So Maddi entertained.

Cassius

Cassius, the family St. Bernard, is a little confused as to why this pink bundle can take up so much of Mommy's and Daddy's time. Cassius loves his family very much and as soon as Madison is big enough, she and Cassius will be able to play together

2 Week Doctor Visit

At her 2 week Doctor visit, Madison weighed 8lbs 2oz. At her four day visit she was down to 6lbs 12 oz. What a gain in 10 days! She lost her umbilical cord while at the Doctor's office. Madison is in the 50 percentile for both height and weight.

Madison Is a Cutie Pie!

We are a bit bias, but we think Madison is a Cutie Pie.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day Madison! Grandma and Grandpa Fisher and Nana and Papa Small brought Madison teddi bears for her first Valentine's Day. She also got a Valentine's Day card all the way from Tennessee, her Aunt Sue, Uncle Jimmy, Cousin Erika, Cousin Emilee, and Uncle Allen all sent their love in it. Aunt Piggy gave Madison the "My 1st Valentine's Day" bib.

Cuddle Bug!

Madison loves being held. She will sleep through anything if she is being cuddled.

Madison Makes Us Laugh!!

She is so cute and her smile lights up the room! We laugh at all of the funny faces she makes. As you can tell, she loves putting her hands up by her face.

Did I Mention the Gifts?

I have not mentioned the beautiful gifts that Daddy got Mommy. They were special gifts for the delivery of Madison. Beautiful 1 ct diamond earrings and a dozen pink roses in the most beautiful vase, all of the nurses said so. Madison even had roses in the hospital, three baby pink roses. Nana and Papa Small and Aunt Pig also brought a huge bouquet of beautiful flowers to my room.
